Hi Everyone,
I am what you call an "expert" on authentic high-end designer items, such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi, Hermes, etc. I know the rules of the wholesale designer marketplace, and I want everyone else to know them to.
1. It is 100% possible to obtain authentic designer items from legitimate suppliers from the internet. There are however, exceptions to this rule.
2. Go as close to the brands as you can.
3. What you should know about importing brands from abroad.
4. The so-called "Sanitized Invoice".
5. Verifying that an item you purchased is authentic.
6. Ignorance will not protect you.
7. If it's too good to be true... IT IS! Don't fool yourself into thinking you're getting a good deal.
Also, I'd like to place a little ad for my website... www.saynee.biz
Our company's name is Saini Corporation... and we have been trading in authentic designer goods since 2005... the website was set up this month, and is registered to my father, who owns the Saini Corporation.
We would be happy to supply anyone on these forums.
* It is NOT possible to obtain any authentic Louis Vuitton item at wholesale... EVER.
* It is NOT possible to obtain any Hermes handbag at wholesale. All Hermes handbags are handmade... and have never been sold at wholesale.
2. Go as close to the brands as you can.
* Italy and France, the lands of luxury fashion. You are not going to find better prices than you can here. Of course, unless you buy direct from the brands... which require you to have a physical store and an average minimum order of $25,000.00.
3. What you should know about importing brands from abroad.
* It is completely within your rights as a citizen of the USA to import luxury brands for re-sale. However, you must state that you are not an authorized re-seller because you do not buy direct from the brands.
* It is NOT within your rights to import US based brands, such as Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and others without their permission. Customs will not release the items you have imported until you can show proof of permission.
4. The so-called "Sanitized Invoice".
* These things are not worth the piece of paper they are written on. You can buy these "proofs of authenticity" online or on the street corners in Italy and France for $20.
* Just think... If I sell a replica(fake) Gucci handbag... for $50.00 a bag. Then wouldn't it make sense for me to spend $20.00 more dollars per bag... and say they are authentic and sell them for $500.00 a bag?
* Also, please note that anyone offering sanitized invoices, that hasn't purchased their items from a registered boutique... is selling fakes without a doubt. The official invoices are only given to physical stores.
5. Verifying that an item you purchased is authentic.
* This has gotten very hard to do now. The brands will not provide appraisal services anymore, because of the "superfakes" that are circulating in the market now.
* There are very few licensed appraisers out there for these brands. In fact, there are more people that will take your item, and your money, in the name of appraisal, and never give it back.
6. Ignorance will not protect you.
* If you are caught selling a fake item. "I didn't know" will not be a legitimate excuse. The law does not pardon laziness.
7. If it's too good to be true... IT IS! Don't fool yourself into thinking you're getting a good deal.
